Alex's Lemonade Stands Alex Scott died in the summer of 2004 of neuroblastoma, which she had been fighting since she was a baby. Her motto was "When life hands you lemons, make lemonade", and in that spirit, she started running lemonade stands to raise money for pediatric cancer research. Though she is gone, the lemonade stands continue, held across the country.
Pediatric Cancer Foundation I rode in a Bikeathon to raise money for these guys. Among many worthy projects, they have given money for Dr. Cheung's antibody research at Sloan-Kettering. Elias is directly benefiting from this research now.
Malachi played his violin for his relatives in Connecticut last week.
